Dr. Moe Tarabey .

Dr. Moe Tarabey attended the University of Alberta, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree with Honours. He subsequently earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from The InterAmerican University School of Optometry. Dr. Moe Tarabey is also a member of the Optometric Honour Society, Beta Kappa Sigma. Dr. Tarabey is interested in general primary care optometry and provides comprehensive eye exams in a caring environment. His special interests in optometry include pediatrics, geriatrics, ocular pathology and contact lenses. Dr. Tarabey has significant expertise in these areas of optometry and keeps abreast all developments and advances. Dr. Moe Tarabey’s extensive experience in optometry is an asset to his patients, and we hope that you visit our clinic at Thompson Optics for a thorough eye exam and assessment of your eye health.

Moe Jomha

Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Moe Jomha .

Dr. Moe Jomha studied biology and psychology at Grant MacEwan University and the University of Alberta. He went on to pursue his doctorate degree at the Illinois College of Optometry, in “The Windy City” of Chicago. While attending the Illinois College of Optometry, he obtained numerous awards, and scholarships, and was even recognized as the Student Doctor of the Month by the Canadian Association of Optometry Students!
When he’s not “enhancing lives, two eyes at a time,” Dr. Jomha enjoys spending time with his family, as well as playing and watching sports like hockey, soccer, basketball, and football. He also dedicates his time towards accelerating the success of current students and young professionals as a mentor/coach.

Dr. Jomha has special interests in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular disease. He excels when working with pediatrics, geriatrics, and prescribing contact lenses. Dr. Jomha welcomes new patients and looks forward to seeing you!

Dr. Amal Ahmed

Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Amal Ahmed .

Dr. Amal Ahmed was born and raised in Edmonton. While achieving her Master of Optometry in 2014 from Aston University in Birmingham, UK, she completed a dissertation on Diagnosis and Management of patients with Alzheimers, and a dissertation on Diabetic Retinopathy and Disease Management. She then worked throughout the UK, including as a resident optometrist in Canterbury, UK. Upon completion of her residency, she moved back to Canada, qualified to practice in Canada through the International Optometric Bridging Program in October 2017, and began practicing at our clinic in March of 2018.
